Christian Persecution

Christian Persecution“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely on account of Me.” Matt. 5:10, 11. Jesus said that persecution of Jews and Christians would intensify in the “end-times”.

Christianity is being "wiped out" of its region of birth, said Cato Institute foreign policy expert Doug Bandow Tuesday during a Family Research Council discussion on the increase in Christian persecution in the Middle East and Africa, and he offered reasons why the international community has done little to save those ancient Christian communities.

Prison next step for American Christians?

Former Congressman Frank Wolf warned that Americans' freedom of conscience is under attack and it's mainly Christians with conservative values who are in the crosshairs of the new champions of political correctness.

Get Ready for Persecution in the West

The ongoing persecution of Christians has been a sad reality in many parts of the world. Brutality at the hand of those who want to extinguish Christians, state sanctioned violence, and Islamic extremists all play a sad role. Persecution has been something Christians here tend to dismiss as an 'over there' issue. I firmly believe there is a trend being established in the Western world. It's subtle in nature, but if you are carefully watching what is going on in media, entertainment, government, and sadly some ministries.....you will discern that the tide of public opinion is rapidly turning against true Bible believing Christians. It is time for followers of Jesus to get ready for persecution in the West.

A government crackdown on churches has Christians in Lake Worth, Fla., wondering if they live in the United States or the former Soviet Union.

"Christianity in Mosul is dead, and a Christian holocaust is in our midst," said Mark Arabo, a Californian businessman and Chaldean-American leader. In an interview with CNN's Jonathan Mann, he called what's happening in Iraq a "Christian genocide" and said "children are being beheaded, mothers are being raped and killed, and fathers are being hung."

"How do You live with it, Lord?"

That's a question I recently asked God in prayer as I thought about all the suffering taking place around the world today, especially as human beings slaughter one another in the most horrific and barbaric ways, including reports of Muslim radicals beheading Christian children.

There's something familiar about what's happening to Christians in the Middle East and North Africa. Over the last ten years, we've heard the news of church burnings, rapes, kidnappings and mass murders.

All these have taken place at the hands of Muslim Jihadists in the Mideast and North Africa. Yet, nothing has been as stirring as the void that was filled by the Obama-led evacuation of US forces in Iraq. ISIS, an organized militia of Sunni Muslims, conquered a large swath of Iraq and Syria in just weeks after the last US combat soldier left. Many of their weapons were abandoned US issue, trucks and tanks.

An intense struggle is happening in the realm of professional licensing in Canada. The religious freedom of Christians and others is colliding on a grand scale with the "equality rights" of the LGBTQ identity group, and as the tide turns in favor of equality rights, we are starting to witness socially accepted ostracism of Christians by professional bodies.
