The Republicans had better not squander the goodwill Sen. Rand Paul purchased for them in his filibuster over the Obama administration’s potential use of armed drones to kill non-enemy combatants in America.

I am not simply referring to the constitutional issue of whether the president can engage in such acts, though that’s very important. I believe the significance of Paul’s filibuster transcends the drone issue. It was about challenging the administration’s lawlessness and lack of accountability across the board, and his runaway spending and statism. It was about championing freedom, God-given rights and the Constitution.

Here’s how Steve McSwain, contributor to the extreme leftist publication Huffington Post (a site from which I share frequently about the activities of the Christian Left), is trying to re-shape the Bride of Christ into the harlot of Babylon. How influential is this guy? Steve is celebrated as the “Voice of the SBNR (Spiritual But Not Religious),” as well as author, speaker, thought leader and spiritual teacher. His latest article is getting thunderous applause. Gird your loins:

The Church in the End Times - March 8

Let’s take stock of ourselves: Why is the divorce rate among Christians no better than among unbelievers? Is the “Gospel” preached in your church? What is the status of Biblical literacy in your fellowship? Is our Christianity lukewarm?

The Kidnapping of Coptic Girls - March 8

When a rumor circulated last week that a Muslim woman in the southern Egyptian city of Kom Ombo had been forcibly converted to Christianity, a mob of Muslims felt compelled to riot, attacking and firebombing the city’s local Coptic Christian church.

Like Chavez, Obama presides over a poorer country whose poor are convinced that he is the only thing standing between them and absolute poverty. Deficit spending and high debt has destroyed any potential for GDP growth leaving America looking like an oversized version of Venezuela.

The new America is not a booming economy, but a political power structure built on unsustainable spending. Like Chavez, Obama has created an impossible trap that leaves half the country dependent on him and leaves his opponents with no alternative but to propose some form of austerity. It is an economic kamikaze maneuver that invariably ends with economic or political destruction.

Before you scoff ask yourself: If we were Noah’s neighbors before the Great Flood would we have recognized the fulfillment of prophecy? Would we have realized the degree of our descent into immorality and ungodliness? Would we have snickered at the lunacy of Noah’s feverish, colossal boat building and scoffed at the seemingly tortured logic that drove him to obsessively assemble pairs of animals and ready his craft for sailing? Would we have continued to deride his faith and piety even as the rains began and the waters rose?

An ominous pattern has been developing, particularly of late: The Obama administration seems determined to subordinate public safety to political expediency. If a course-correction is not effected promptly, the result is predictable. Americans will be needlessly harmed and, perhaps, killed.

A perusal of these sources shows a topic that is almost completely overlooked or not addressed at all. Believers in Jesus Christ should be concerned about the World Council of Churches, it's “role” in the “religious” world and how the National Council of Churches or NCC (in the USA) is connected to that organization.

The rise of America's Gestapo - March 7

Erik Rush decries how 'a radical Marxist' is ruling his state by proxy

The second factor is the influence of President Barack Hussein Obama writ large on the whole affair. As we know, Vice President Biden personally leaned on Colorado legislators last month in an effort to tip the national conversation on gun rights in progressives’ favor. Thus, with sanction from the White House itself, these legislators forged ahead with what they wanted – not what was legal or popular – in typical autocratic progressive fashion.

To follow up on his claims and discuss the accounts of the Bible, O’Reilly invited on his Wednesday night program Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of the 11,000- member First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas.

“Let’s begin at the beginning,” O’Reilly said. “Adam and Eve: Did they literally live in the garden of Eden and usurp the evolutionary process?”

“Absolutely, they lived,” responded Jeffress. “They were actual human beings and Jesus affirmed that, Bill in Matthew 19, and so I think Jesus knew what he was talking about. … Jesus said that God created man and female in the garden and He brought them together in marriage.”
