Author Ray Yungen documents how the world's "spirituality" has changed in 40 years. Starting with the 60s counterculture that was guided by the Hindu East, up until today's occultism, it has all followed a diabolical plan to seduce all people and even the evangelical church. And to a point, it has been successful. Can we stop the train that has already left the station since it is headed for the one world religion? Probably not, but we can be more aware of it and sound the alarm to all those we care about. Find his two books at "Our Products" on the Olive Tree site. Jan and guests, Eric Barger and Pastor Larry DeBruyn, take a very close look at the #1 best-seller on most charts this summer and likely into the next year. "The Shack," they conclude, is reinventing Christianity in a sinister manner. It is filled with "New Age" overtones. Why are Christians buying it like no other book today when God is demeaned and made into a woman as well as the Holy Spirit. Where is discernment. This is just another example of the great falling away towards apostasy and lack of sound doctrine predicted for a last generation. Spare somebody confusion by telling them not to read the book. Albert Mohler joins in via sound bytes.

Jan and guests, Eric Barger and Pastor Larry DeBruyn, continue looking at the issue of the best-selling "Christian" book, soon to be a movie, "The Shack." The book is not just connecting with post-moderns, but with people of all ages in spite of its reinvention of Christianity. The confusion opens immediately with God being called "Papa," as he/she is an African-American woman. This is a "buyer-beware" warning and we hope you will reconsider its popularity and its content particularly for new believers or non-believers. Albert Mohler continues to participate via sound bytes. The final conclusion is that emotions trump doctrine today. www.ericbarger.com www.frbaptist.org www.albertmohler.com

Part 1: Todd Nettleton from Voice of the Martyrs reminds us of the oppression in China and how to pray during and after the Olympics. Why was China awarded this Olympic opportunity? The conclusion is that Beijing did not deserve it any more than Hitler deserved the Berlin Olympics in 1936. Part 2: Since we are in the season of 9/11, a survivor and his father give an inspiring testimony of hope and the power of prayer. See our memorial to 9/11 at our category: “Terrorism: U.S. ” on this site.

Lori MacGregor has run MacGregor Ministries in British Columbia for 30 years. The Canadian government is now at war with Christians and have virtually shut down and/or complicated the lives of many Christians and ministries. The latest count is about 2,500 ministries that have come under Canadian scrutiny. MacGregor believes America is next and that American Christians will get the same treatment in a few years. www.MMOutreachinc.com

Making a clarion call for discernment, Sandy Simpson from "Deception in the Church" talks with Jan about his book, "The Discernment Tool Kit." Since the Bible places so much importance on discernment, why are so many lacking in it? How does one attain it? And how and why has it been abandoned in the last 15 years? These questions and more are tackled. www.deceptioninthechurch.com
