They make the case that this would be one of the "spoils" that brings Russia down on Israel in the Ezekiel 38-39 war. To date no significant oil has been found in Israel. Natural gas has been found off Haifa's shore but all come up short who are partaking in the treasure hunt for oil. Hour One: John McTernan reports on a position paper written by an Army Major who calls Pre-Millennial Dispensationalists the biggest threat to world peace as they "take the Bible literally." They also "sway foreign policy in Israel's favor," "mistrust Russia," "hate the U.N." and "believe the antichrist will rise out of the U.N." The insults go on for 70 pages and are covered as much as time allows. Christians with this kind of eschatology seem to be the new Jews of Europe. This was written under the Bush administration in May of 2008. It is shocking and does not portend good things to come.
