Iraq (Babylon) is mentioned in the Bible second only to Jerusalem/Israel. It plays an historical role and possibly an end-time role. Will Iraq ever be a "democracy"? We would like to think so but a democracy in the Arab world is unlikely. The future of Iraq in modern times at this point is very uncertain.
