We are to “watch and pray” for the Lord’s return. We will help you do so by keeping our eyes on the “signs of the times” and reporting them to you. Jesus chastised the Pharisees for not knowing the signs of the times in His day. So He wants to us know the signs today, for they instill in us hope for the future and encourage us to evangelize the lost while there is still time.
Spiritual Deception
Jesus said on the Mount of Olives (Matt. 24) that deception would be the primary cultural sign of the last days. Even some of God’s “elect” might be deceived by false theologies. “Good would be called evil and evil good” (Isaiah 5:20). Men would substitute light for darkness and darkness for light. Apostasy would consume churches and denominations that were once solid.

Erik Rush sees increasing delusion among leftists anxious about November
As many Americans are aware, radio and television personality Glenn Beck hosted his “Restoring Honor” rally at the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 28. Leading up to the event, the establishment press was in top form, giving face time aplenty to Rev. Al Sharpton (who organized a counter-rally nearby) and prominent progressives, who had branded the event as a racist one – as prophylaxis, I can only surmise, since it had not yet occurred.
The 2 faces of our commander in chief – WND – September 2
In a February 2009 speech, newly inaugurated President Barack Obama promised the faithful that come Aug. 31, 2010, he would end combat operations for U.S troops in Iraq, just in time for the mid-term elections.
In the interest of accuracy, Obama did not exactly say “just in time for the mid-term elections.” I added that. He just thought it.
Liberal Speakers Coming to a Campus Near You – Human Events – September 2
“This isn’t my fight,” wrote Michael Garanzini, president of Loyola University of Chicago.

The False Comparison between Islam and Christianity – September 2
Don’t you love how the Blame Stream Media makes Christians out to be fish-stickered, bug-eyed equals to hard-core Islamists?
If you were to accept as true what some atheists, secularists and prattling gay activists say about Christians, you’d think the church is chomping at the bit to chop off heads of unbelievers.
Ruling Class vs. the People – Human Events – September 2
Unemployment is hovering around 9.6%, our national debt is over $13 trillion, one-in-six Americans are receiving some type of government help, and Barack Obama just wrapped his sixth vacation in less than two years as President.
It was a waterfront vacation in Martha’s Vineyard that cost around $50,000 for the rental property alone. (This doesn’t count the cost of staff, of Secret Service protection, or the transport and fuel for the 20-vehicle caravan that traveled with the President all over the island.)
Hezbollah car bombs on our border – Washington Times – September 2
Why isn’t Obama’s Department of Homeland Security concerned?
An indictment was handed down Aug. 30 by the Southern District Court of New York that shows a connection between Hezbollah – the proxy army of Iran and a designated terrorist organization – and the drug cartels that violently plague the U.S.-Mexico border.
Israeli moratorium key to talks – Washington Times – September 2
Netanyahu pressed by both sides
The chairman of Israel’s largest settler organization in the disputed territory of the West Bank on Wednesday predicted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government will collapse if he renews a moratorium on construction inside the settlements as part of the first direct Arab-Israeli peace talks since 2008.
