Maybe doomsday is near

Just days after Obama insisted Israel must give up lands it won through military victory with its enemies, some 200 people were killed by a tornado in Joplin, Mo.

There’s a pattern here.

We saw it in Katrina, when George Bush forced Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza. In fact, as everyone from Israeli rabbis to U.S. senators have noted, it seems to happen every single time the U.S. pressures Israel to divide the land.

What really happened in 1948?

With country after country lining up to support the unilateral creation of a Palestinian Arab state in September, the Palestinian leadership is feeling increasingly confident in rewriting history.

In an op-ed piece published by the New York Times last week, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas claimed that after the UN decided to partition “Palestine” into Jewish and Arab states in 1947, the “Zionists” launched an unprovoked military offensive forcing surrounding Arab states to intervene.

Netanyahu Goes to Washington – Rosenberg

Jerusalem, Israel) — Will it work?

That’s the key question as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu finishes his high-profile trip to Washington, meeting with President Obama, addressing 10,000-plus pro-Israel activists at the AIPAC Policy Conference, addressing a Joint Session of Congress, and doing a flurry of major media interviews. Will his passionate case that Israel is America’s best friend, the only solid and secure democracy in the Middle East, endangered by Iranian nukes, and in need of unwavering American friendship and support in tumultuous times fully convince the President, the Congress and the American people to stand with Israel through the darkest of times that are steadily approaching?

I would like to believe this will be the case, but Bible prophecy says otherwise.

On National Judgment…(Genesis 12:3)

I believe that today our nation crossed a line. When our president, Barak Hussein Obama called for the establishment of a “Palestinian State”, and the restriction of the nation of Israel to her pre 1967 boundaries, America transgressed against the God of Israel, rendering us liable to judgment.

God has a foreign policy doctrine for the “heathen”,(ie nations) to subscribe to. He said of Abraham, and of Isaac and Jacob,“I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you…”. The Holy God declares to “the Kings of the earth and their rulers”, that He has appointed the King Messiah to rule and reign from upon his Holy hill of Zion.

In Coming Years Israel Could Face Problems Threatening its Existence

The situation of Israel is once again heading toward extreme peril. In 1967 Israel took on the forces of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria and routed all three. Since then suicide bombers and harassing endeavors from Hamas and Hezbollah have taken their toll physically and psychologically, but Israel’s existence has not been threatened. Now, the past 44 years are starting to seem downright peaceful in comparison with what likely lies ahead.

A Turning Point in the Arab-Israeli Conflict? – Pipes

I predicted a few weeks ago that Arab upheavals might inspire Palestinians to shift “away from warfare and terrorism in favor of non-violent political action. That could include massive non-violent demonstrations such as marching on Israeli towns, borders, and checkpoints.”

Right on cue, on what Palestinians call “Nakba Day,” a rejection of Israel’s gaining independence on May 15, 1948, mass activity took place in a coordinated and unprecedented fashion today. A New York Times headline aptly summarizes events: “Israel Clashes with Protesters on Four Borders,” being those of Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, and Gaza.

Christian Palestinianism

For some time, I have been raising the alarm that evangelical Christianity has been infiltrated by theological leftists. Among other things, this impacts our nation’s view of Israel.

Recently, I was made aware of a movement of young evangelicals who are embracing what the British lecturer Paul Wilkinson calls “Christian Palestinianism.” Loosely, this means a Christian who supports the Palestinian Arabs, and dismisses Jewish claims to the land. Obviously, these “Millennial Generation” Christians (18-34) do not embrace Bible prophecy. Their worldview is different.

Is Today’s Israel Still Chosen by God?
  1. A careful reading of both testaments shows that God’s grace will surpass the disobedience of Israel such that He will turn the nation back to himself. Hence the many restoration passages which teach just this – that Israel’s rejection is neither total nor continuing (e.g., Deu. 30:1-6; Eze. ; 36:16-37:14; Amos 9:11-15; Mat 23:39; Luke 21:24; Rom. 11:11,25-32).
  2. The Apostle Paul indicates that unbelieving Israel retains it’s elect status as a nation before God (Rom. 9:3-5; 11:28-29). Notice especially Romans 11:28-29:

U.S. ‘Partner’ Behind Massacre of Jewish Family

The Other Tsunami – Dennis Prager – March 15

It is very difficult to hate babies.

It takes a special person.

As morally wrong as it is to murder innocent adults, mankind seems to have a built-in revulsion against killing babies. If a baby does not evoke any tenderness, if a baby is regarded as worthy of being deliberately hurt or murdered, we know that we have encountered a degree of evil that few humans — even among murderers — can relate to.

That is why what Palestinian terrorists did to a Jewish family on the West Bank this past weekend deserves far more attention than it received.

Normally, Palestinian atrocities get little attention — certainly far less attention than Israeli apartment-building on the West Bank receives. But this particular atrocity got even less attention than usual because the world was focused on the terrible tsunami that hit Japan.
