Spiritual Deception

wolfinsheepsdiscernmentcover_dsJesus said on the Mount of Olives (Matt. 24) that deception would be the primary cultural sign of the last days. Even some of God’s “elect” might be deceived by false theologies. “Good would be called evil and evil good” (Isaiah 5:20). Men would substitute light for darkness and darkness for light. Apostasy would consume churches and denominations that were once solid.

Liberal evangelicals don’t represent me!

What is an evangelical? I believe the definition has morphed a bit over some decades now. Evangelicals stress a born-again experience, have a high regard for biblical authority and stress the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I finally became “churched” at age 14, it was in a Bible-believing, fundamental church that was committed to the gospel, to missions, to Bible memorization and to the abstinence from some worldly pleasures. Several decades later, I remain an evangelical – but I fear that evangelicalism may have left the train station without me.

LYING WONDERS : Rick Joyner Traveling In The Heavenlies

RICK JOYNER IS IN A LEAGUE ALL BY HIMSELF! HIS DEMONIC WORLD HAS ENTRAPPED A MULTITUDE OF UNDISCERNING SOULS. One of his major books is entitled,“The Final Quest”. I think it should be labeled “The Final Lie”. It is absolutely the biggest collection of “ultimate lies” from demons and devils that I have ever reviewed in a book that claims christianity. This book can deceive no one unless they have first been mesmerized by these last day deceptions. The content is so ridiculous and far-fetched that believing it reveals an altered state of religious deception. Remember, that to be “mesmerized” simply means “an altered state of consciousness.” The final religion of the Antichrist is sorcery and witchcraft and the spirit of this darkness has already taken deep root in the church world. I have adapted a review of this book for this Salty Saints. The text from his book will be highlighted to help you follow it carefully.

Set to Rule Over the Environment & Weather

Amidst the fascinating denials[3] of Dominionism going on from very diverse quarters[4] in the media and Internet, the evidence continues to mount that the leaders of the New Apostolic Reformation are anticipating a major “shift” to happen. Their prophets, such as Curt Landry, in TheElijahList (11/4/11) are prophesying and decreeing things like:

Dear Pastor Joel Osteen. Shame on You!

I have just watched your remarks regarding Mitt Romney and his Mormon faith, recorded on video. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Church/Default.aspx?id=1465166

Shame on you!  You have given the enemies of the Cross a great victory. Either through sheer ignorance of the Word or your apparent desire to never offend anyone, regardless of their sins, you have handed the Mormons a huge PR gift. You have insulted and denigrated the many former Mormons like me who have spent their lives bringing Mormons the truth and to the Real Jesus, who died for their sins on Calvary. You have defined our ministries and my life’s work as worthless.

Does Joel Osteen Not Know, or Does He Not Care?

Here we go again. Joel Osteen is in the news once again, this time for saying that Mormonism is just another form of Christianity. Osteen, pastor of “America’s largest church,” as the media repeat over and over, was speaking to The Washington Times in an interview that covered a variety of issues. It was the quintessential Joel on display.

Evangelical Richard Cizik Re-Emerges for Green Cause

WASHINGTON – Not much has been heard about Richard Cizik since his forced resignation as vice president of the National Association of Evangelicals last year. But the evangelical leader re-emerged in Washington, D.C., on Sunday to give a lecture on interfaith creation care in observance of Earth Day.

Drowning in Apostasy – Ice

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (Jude 3–4).

I will never forget what one of my church history professors told us one day in class in the late 1970s at Dallas Seminary. He said something like the following: Those of us who will follow Christ and His Word, as opposed to the rising emphasis upon religious experience, will increasingly become a smaller group until one day we will be on the outside of the American Evangelical Church looking in. My reaction to my professor was, “No, things will never get that bad within Evangelicalism.” Well, my professor was certainly right. I believe that just such a day has arrived! Like Jude, I would have loved to write about our common salvation, but the times are pressing in on biblical believers. We must contend earnestly for the faith!

Neo-Marxism in the Church?

I have been consistently concerned about the global warming/green agenda entering evangelical churches now for many years. There are a dozen church-based organizations that exist entirely for environmental reasons and many others who are just supportive of them. Green outfits include the Evangelical Environmental Network, Blessed Earth, Restoring Eden, and even the Southern Baptist Environment and Climate Initiative. The National Association of Evangelicals remains focused on many solid issues but is also a part of the climate change agenda.

“The Latter Rain Revival Movement?”

One of the most significant influences within Evangelicalism the last twenty-five years has been the reemergence of “latter rain” theology.  Yet, many are not even aware that such an influence exists within modern Christianity.  Latter rain theology is sweeping the charismatic movement and revivalist evangelicals who believe that a global revival will take place before Christ will be allowed to return at the second advent.  Popular movements such as the Vineyard Churches, Promise Keepers, and likely a majority of charismatic churches and organizations imbibe deeply from the fountain of latter rain theology.  In this series of articles I want to trace the rise and development of the restoration and latter rain teachings that have been around for at least the last two hundred years.  Then, I want to explain why these views are unscriptural and are having a negative impact upon the literal interpretation of Bible prophecy.
